Deer fence install tip
When the ground is too hard to install ground sleeves for deer fencing, use an earth auger to dig holes and pre-drill them into the ground. There are two types of Earth Augers for rocky surfaces that can be used based based on the diameter of fence post being installed; but the most common one for 1 5/8" fence posts is the Earth Auger that measures 30"L x 1 3/4"W with a shaft size of 5/16".
Installing ground sleeves is the first step in the fence installation process. Use an earth auger for rocky surfaces; and the rest of the installation process will be smooth sailing.
