Who's excited for fall gardening? Vegetable growers, of course. Late August is the best time of year to begin growing fall vegetables fit for side dishes and salads including:

  • Carrots
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Spinach, Kale, Lettuce
  • Radishes
  • Beans
  • Arugula

These crops can grow within 20-40 days. Just be sure to provide these plants with plenty of water, sunlight and protection against deer and other wildlife.
