Why Use Fence Tensioning

Tension wire for fencing may seem like an unnecessary accessory; but for areas with high winds or trees, fence tensioning should be at the top of a buyer's list.
Monofilament wire adds tensioning at the top of a deer fence, keeping the fence nice and taut. It also prevents the fence from sagging in the middle. Tension wire is useful for orchard growers that may worry about falling tree limbs.
Fence tension wire helps strengthen the fence from the top and will block attempts from jumping deer to reach crops or flowers in the garden.
Tension wire comes in 8 gauge and 12 gauge and different lengths to help accommodate special fence needs.
