Description

Dig Defence™ Animal Barrier Panels – Garden & Landscape Protection

Protect garden beds, landscaping, and structures from digging animals with durable Dig Defence™ panels designed to stop burrowing pests before they damage your yard.

Key Features

Stops Burrowing Animals at Ground Level

Dig Defence panels create a physical underground barrier that prevents animals from digging into garden beds, landscaping areas, or under structures like sheds and decks.

Installed along fence lines or existing structures and driven into the ground, the panels block entry points used by many common digging pests. By stopping digging activity at ground level, these panels help protect plants, soil, and landscaping from costly damage.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

Each Dig Defence panel is built from welded steel rods that form a rigid barrier capable of resisting persistent scratching and digging.

Unlike lightweight edging or temporary animal barriers, the heavy-duty design holds its shape in soil and remains firmly in place once installed. The Galvanized steel construction helps protect against rust providing durable protection for garden beds and landscape borders season after season.

Fast, DIY-Friendly Installation

Dig Defence panels are designed for quick installation using simple tools most homeowners already have.

To install, position the panel along the edge of a garden bed, fence line, or structure and drive the tines into the ground with a hammer or mallet. The modular design allows panels to connect easily, creating a continuous underground barrier that can be installed quickly without digging trenches or altering your landscaping.

Low-Profile Appearance

Dig Defence panels protect your garden without taking away from the look of your landscaping.

Because most of the barrier sits below ground level, only a small portion remains visible above the soil line. The low-profile design blends naturally into garden beds and landscape borders while still providing strong protection against digging animals.

Flexible Protection for Multiple Outdoor Areas

Dig Defence panels can be installed anywhere animals attempt to dig under or into protected spaces.

  • Protecting vegetable gardens and flower beds
  • Reinforcing landscaping borders
  • Preventing animals from digging under sheds or decks
  • Securing compost areas or chicken coops
  • Creating a ground-level animal barrier along fencing

Designed For Garden & Residential Use

Dig Defence panels are ideal for homeowners and gardeners who want a reliable way to stop digging animals without installing a full fence system.

Burrowing wildlife can quickly damage gardens, landscaping, and outdoor structures. Dig Defence panels help stop these animals by reinforcing the ground-level entry points they commonly exploit.

Dig Defence panels also work well alongside DeerBusters garden fencing systems, helping reinforce vulnerable ground-level areas where animals may attempt to dig under a fence.

Common Animals This Helps Stop

  • Rabbits
  • Groundhogs / woodchucks
  • Skunks
  • Raccoons
  • Armadillos
  • Opossums
  • Chipmunks
  • Small nuisance wildlife and garden pests

Installation Steps

Step 1 – Position the Panel
Place the panel along the edge of the garden bed, fence line, shed, deck, or structure you want to protect.

Step 2 – Align the Barrier
Ensure the tines are aligned vertically with the soil and positioned where animals are likely to dig.

Step 3 – Drive the Panel into the Ground
Using a hammer or mallet, tap the panel down until the tines are fully inserted into the soil. Alternate hitting the sides of the panel so it goes it evenly

Step 4 – Continue Along the Perimeter
Install additional panels side-by-side to create a continuous underground barrier.
