Pros and Cons of Plastic Fencing

When considering a deer fence to buy, many look into poly deer fence; and it's no wonder why.
Plastic deer fencing is a great fence for veteran and beginning gardeners for several reasons. For one, the fence mesh is lightweight and easy to manage. It is easily removable and can be stored in the winter months or left up in cooler seasons as it's UV-stabilized. It can even be used to secure small dogs in the yard. However, the word "plastic" gets a bad reputation. Individuals may associate "plastic" with "cheap" or "not reliable;" but gardeners that have used the material know better. They know that it has breaking strengths up to 1400 pounds and a life expectancy of 20+ years!
The only downside of poly deer fencing is that the fence mesh is not suitable for heavy deer pressure and it is not chew-resistant. Using this fence means that home gardeners are dealing with light to moderate deer traffic but not heavy deer herds; coyotes; rabbits; groundhogs and bears.
Plastic deer fence is a fan-favorite and should be considered when starting a backyard garden.
