Some homes may have come with wooden fences; and although these types of fences are great for home security and privacy, they are not the best for deer management in gardens. 

This is why there are fence extenders that can be easily attached to wooden and even chain-link fences. This will provide additional height to block jumping attempts from white-tailed deer. 

Fence extension is easy to assemble and may be a cheaper alternative than putting up a complete deer fence around properties.
